Scientology Protests

Edinburgh had an awesome turnout. Indeed they did.

Portland, Oregon protest panorama. Portland also came with its own soundtrack!

Tons of protesters in New York City. Panorama shot. Like 250 people showed up for this one.

London takes the cake, though, with 300+ protesters and media present.

Media coverage of the Montreal protest.

Many, many more photos from around the world on the Enturbulation.org forums...

V (or really, we all know it was Epic Fail Guy) made an appearance just about everywhere.

Okay. I gotta give Anonymous credit. They staged an excellent series of protests, and they actually left their houses in order to do so!

So...March 15th there's another set of protests. There's one happening in DC. That's a Saturday.

...So tempted to actually participate this time around. Anyone with me? (Brooke and Jen, weren't you looking to do something again soon? XD)

PS, Gotta give props to DC. *hearts* If the 3/15 protest is anything like this one, I will be proud to take part.

Changeling

Oh Snap
This post is for members of the Young Adult Group who wish to participate in a Changeling: the Lost chronicle to discuss character creation, plot points, and - perhaps most importantly! - figure out when we'll be meeting to play.

I don't think our Yahoo! Group is the right place to discuss something that doesn't really have anything to do with the Young Adults per se. You can join LJ for free, or you can just post anonymously in the comments via the link below.

Regards,

As promised, KITTENS )

I had a really interesting day getting them home. First I manage to lock them in the car with the keys in the ignition and nobody could get the door open. (One of the Humane Society people managed to get her hand in and open the handle, thank GOD.) Then Ember pissed in the carrier while we were coming home, and it smelled terrible and got all over all the poor kittens. I don't have the heart to bathe them yet.

Thankfully, everything seems to have calmed down. Ember and Subi appear to be getting along okay. They're not exactly buddies but they're being quiet and giving each other space. Ember hasn't even tried to hide. The kittens are all sleeping in the cage. (I left the cage door open so she could go in and out, and Subi has expressed absolutely no curiousity in them at all.)

Now Subi's sitting on the table and Ember's on the couch. I think Subi feels displaced, lol. Poor guy. He's so sweet, though.

Some more pictures up on Facebook: http://umbc.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30406998&id=15200824 - many are repeats but there are some not featured here on my Facebook page.

Check this space often, kids, because I'll be adding more pictures as soon as they become available. And I'm making it public for a while so I can direct non-LJ friends to the photos. Because sending them to the Photobucket account just isn't enough!

More pictures all up in here. )

The Friends Only Post

If that sex thing is important to you, I'm female. Also, no.

If that age thing is important to you, I'm 23. At any given time I am acting older, younger, or my own age. I live alone, I have good credit, I have a steady job, a college education with plans to continue it at the Master's level. I like to watch cartoons, read comic books, find great joy in playing with my pets, and have been known to laugh until I cry at stupid jokes.

I'm very boring. I do not like to "party." I love to travel and have been to over half of the US, to Canada, and to the UK. Animals - both pets and otherwise - are a big part of my life. I live with two cats, but at heart I'm a dog person.

If that religion thing is important to you, I identify with humanistic religious naturalism and attend Davies Memorial Unitarian Universalist Church in Camp Springs, Maryland, USA. (For those concerned with location, I live in La Plata, Maryland.)

I like making new friends. Feel free to add me and toss a comment my way so I'll know to add you back ASAP. :)
